Stir Up Privacy Policy

This policy explains how SmeliStudios handles information in the Stir Up app. Stir Up is a local-first horse nutrition planning app for horse profiles, feed libraries, feed plans, bucket recipes, care notes, backups, and optional forage analysis imports.

Overview

Stir Up does not require an account or subscription. Your horse data is stored locally on your own device by default. SmeliStudios does not run a Stir Up account system or backend service for syncing your app data.

Local App Data

Stir Up may store horses, feed plans, saved feeds, bucket recipes, preparation notes, care notes, housing notes, settings, import drafts, and nutrition summaries locally on your device.

Permissions

Stir Up only requests access to your camera, photos, or files when you choose features that need them, such as photographing or importing forage analyses, selecting horse photos, importing backups, or sharing exported data.

The app does not request permissions that are unrelated to its features.

Imports And Analyses

Forage analysis files, photos, screenshots, and PDFs are processed on your device for the features you choose to use. Stir Up does not need an account for this.

Internet Usage

Stir Up is designed as a local-first application. Internet access is only used for optional features, platform services, or future updates. Stir Up does not upload your horse data to SmeliStudios servers.

Sharing And Backups

When you choose to export a backup, share a report, or send a horse card, the file is created so you can share it using your device. You control where it goes. If you uninstall Stir Up without exporting a backup first, your locally stored data may be permanently lost.

Analytics And Advertising

The current Stir Up app does not use advertising SDKs or sell personal data. The SmeliStudios website uses lightweight, cookieless analytics for aggregate page views.
