StableWeather Terms and Disclaimer
Last updated: 27 July 2026
These terms apply to your use of the StableWeather app, published by SmeliStudios. By using StableWeather, you agree to these terms.
The StableWeather Service
StableWeather provides general horse-rugging guidance based on weather forecasts, saved horse profiles and saved rug inventory. It can explain the factors behind a recommendation, support multiple horses, and help match a recommendation to rugs you have entered in the app.
Guidance Only
StableWeather is not veterinary advice, professional equine advice or a substitute for checking the individual horse. Horse owners and carers remain responsible for decisions about rugs, turnout, shelter and care.
Always consider the actual horse and conditions, including clipping, age, health, shelter, body condition, breed, activity level, coat, local weather, dampness, wind chill and whether the horse is too warm or too cold.
Weather And Recommendation Limits
Weather data and forecasts may be delayed, unavailable, incomplete or inaccurate. Recommendations may not suit every horse, every rug, every yard setup or every local microclimate. Check the horse and use your own judgement, a veterinarian or a qualified equine professional when needed.
Availability
StableWeather may change, pause or stop features over time. We try to keep the app useful and available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.
Third-Party Weather And Location Services
StableWeather uses third-party weather services to provide forecasts. The current app release uses SMHI Open Data for Swedish forecast points and MET Norway for non-Swedish forecast points and fallback forecasts. Stable location search may use platform location services in native builds, with Open-Meteo and Nominatim as web-preview geocoding fallbacks.
Third-party services may change, become unavailable, rate-limit traffic or return data that contains errors. Their own terms and privacy information apply to their services.
User Data And Backups
StableWeather stores the main app data locally on your device. You are responsible for keeping any exported backup files safe and for deleting exported files from places where you saved or shared them.
Intellectual Property
StableWeather, the SmeliStudios name, app design, text and related materials belong to SmeliStudios or its licensors. You may use the app for your own lawful personal or stable-related purposes, but you may not copy, redistribute or misuse the app or website materials except where law allows.
Limitation Of Liability
StableWeather is provided as a practical guidance tool. To the extent allowed by law, SmeliStudios is not responsible for losses, injuries, costs or damage arising from reliance on weather forecasts, recommendations, unavailable service, user-entered data, third-party provider issues or failure to keep backups.
Nothing in these terms is intended to limit rights that cannot be limited under applicable consumer law.
Changes To The App Or Terms
SmeliStudios may update StableWeather or these terms from time to time. The last updated date above will be changed when this page is updated.
Governing Law
SmeliStudios is based in Sweden, so these terms are intended to be governed by Swedish law where legally appropriate. This section, and the terms as a whole, should receive professional legal review before public release.
